Direct Care-Support Specialists

We have several part-time, direct care positions available in our residential group homes in West Akron and Macedonia.
Job duties include providing support in areas of daily living, personal care, health/safety, money management, recreational, and socialization. Experience is preferred, but not required. Training will be provided. Requirements include proof of HS/GED; background check; references and physical w/drug screen. Must possess valid driver's license with 5 yrs driving exp; MVR w/proven safe driving record.

Program Sub - Adult Services
United Disability Services has an opening for a full-time Program Sub in our Adult Services Program serving adults with developmental disabilities. This position will be trained to work in all areas and all locations within Adult Services, including Akron, Kent and Twinsburg, and will fill vacancies due to absences. This position is an instructor/trainer role and will be directly involved in instruction, training and supervision and personal care of consumers. Experience preferred in lifting, feeding and working with adults with developmental disabilities, but not required. Training will be provided. Requirements include proof of HS/GED; BCI; references and physical w/drug screen. College in related field helpful. Must acquire DODD Adult Services Certification.
This position will include an additional $1.00 per hour premium at start as well as incumbents in these positions will have the opportunity to earn additional one-time base salary increases of $.25 per hour at intervals of 6 months and 1 year. Exceptional benefits are available to include health, paid vacation, sick leave, and retirement plans.

Direct Care-Support Specialists (On-call / Part-time)

We are a non-profit, social service agency providing care to adults with developmental disabilities. We have on-call /part-time, direct care positions available within our residential group-home setting. These positions are regular part-time positions with the opportunity to work up to 29 hours per week.
Job duties include providing support in areas of daily living, personal care, health/safety, money management, recreational, and socialization. These positions will be trained to work in all group homes within the Residential program and will fill vacancies for all shifts as needed due to absences. We offer flexible schedules as you sign up for the shifts you are interested in.
